Tanda automates General Retail Industry Award rostering clauses

0 min read ·

Many businesses that roster using the General Retail Industry Award would know that it has some of the strictest rules around roster compliance in Australia’s workplace law system.

The General Retail Industry Award (GRIA) requires 10-hour work breaks between shifts, two consecutive days off for every seven days, and includes a number of other highly technical rostering rules.

Tanda has worked with customers that have had issues with the complexity of GRIA for some time.

After hearing from our customers, Tanda has developed our award interpreter and rostering systems further so that they can automate these scenarios.

This is in keeping with our commitment to being a market leader in investing in regulatory compliance.

We’ve created a comprehensive guide to exactly what has been automated, that can be found here, as well as the above video.
