See what Pelican Waters’ General Manager, Tony had to say about Tanda…
Pelican Waters Resort is a four star resort, located on the Sunshine Coast away from the hustle and bustle of town, giving guests the chance to relax and unwind. Tanda’s ability to eliminate paperwork stress allows Tony to focus on their guests and not on administrative tasks
“Our main focus here is accommodation and tourism, so that’s what we have to concentrate on the most. For us to be spending time on things like payroll and timesheets is for me, not cost efficient. Anything that can make the process more streamlined, and more efficient is a huge bonus to our business.”
As a member resort of the Saltwater Properties group, Tony is required to send payroll information to Victoria to be processed off site, meaning that multiple people need the access to the information.
“Before Tanda we did the traditional way of all the staff filling out timesheets. It was quite a tedious job - as at the end of the week they all had to be processed, manually put into a payroll system, and sent down to central Victoria for approval.”
“We’ve had Tanda on board for about 18 months now, and we’ve eradicated the timesheets- it’s made life a lot simpler!”
After two weeks of trialling Tanda, Tony and his team were ready to make the switch, as the team jumped on board very quickly.
“All the rostering is done on-site. Each Department Head will do the roster for their department- so for example with our Kitchen, the Head Chef will do the roster each week and all the staff get their shifts for the week SMSed to them or emailed.”
“From there, that Department Head will check the time on and off, at the end of each day, then they just approve the timesheets, save it and it’s done.”
“It’s a very quick and painless process especially if they keep on top of it on a day to day basis.”
“I would have no hesitation in recommending Tanda because it fits in with whatever industry you may be in. It takes away essentially a lot of paperwork, which in small business is one of the big bugbears, so anything that takes away from that is a good thing!”
