Welcome to the Tanda’s release notes for August. Here’s what we released this month:

Live Wage Tracker™ – Track your wages in real time
You may have noticed the new Live Wage Tracker™ widget appear on your dashboard this month. The Live Wage Tracker™ is a groundbreaking feature that shows you award interpreted wage costs in real-time along with staff counts so you can get an accurate picture of exactly what’s happening in your business.

View the date leave requests were submitted
When there are multiple staff wanting the same day off, its important to be able to see the date they requested their leave to make a fair decision around which request should be approved. That’s why we have now added the leave requested date to the top of each request in Tanda.
Remove old time clocks from your account
If you have time clocks set up in your Tanda account that are no longer being used, you can now remove them so that they don’t show up in your time clock filter lists. We realise having old time clocks visible can make your account feel messy and make it harder to choose the correct time clock. The great news is you can now remove these old time clocks.
To deactivate time clocks simply navigate to the time clocks page from your settings cog.
On this page you will see all the time clocks in your account, simply click the deactivate button to move them to the deactivated time clocks section. Make sure that the time clock is no longer in use before you do this.
Sync staff milestones to your calendar
Last month we released the ability to subscribe to team leave calendars, this month we’ve added that same team filtering functionality to your staff birthday and work anniversary calendars too.
Subscribing to these calendars in your personal calendar (iCal, Google Calendar, Outlook) means you can easily keep track of important staff milestones in the calendar you already use rather than having to check Facebook or keep track of it elsewhere.
To do this simply navigate to the birthday calendar page located in workforce > staff > tools
We’ve also updated a number of our POS integrations so that sales data is synced with Tanda every 15 minutes (rather than every 6 hours). This means your dashboard will update much more regularly than before. This impacts the following integrations:

Tanda Time Clock Now Available for the iPhone
We at Tanda wanna let you know that our time clock application is now available for the iPhone. This new version adds on our existing Android, iPad, and desktop time clocks. And just like those, this has the same set of features. It lets staff clock in with their unique PIN and a selfie. The Tanda Time Clock accurately records employee attendance and compares it with the weekly roster. It also updates the timesheets automatically to the cloud and stores it offline when the device is not connected. This added presence gives added flexibility to businesses currently using our app. You can add it to complement your main time clock, decentralizing clock-ins-and-outs. You can refurbish old iPhones to serve as time clocks, instead of it taking up drawer space. It can also be the backup if, and when, your office’s main Tanda Time Clock is unavailable. What’s New in Tanda – January 2019
This January many new features have been released to help you better plan, execute and review shifts. Auto-approval of shifts on timesheets Approving shifts just got faster! Shifts without variances can now be automatically approved to save managers time when checking and approving timesheets. ⚡️ A shift can be auto-approved when the rostered times match the clocked times. Shifts with variances won’t be auto-approved, and any auto-approved shift can be adjusted. Learn more about Auto-approved Shifts or turn it on now. See all roster changes with Roster Edit History Have complete oversight over your rosters with the new Roster Edit History. Any changes made from the 3rd of January will be tracked. Multiple managers can confidently work on the same roster. See exactly Who made the change What the change was What time the change was made Make roster changes in the mobile app As plans change you can make roster changes on the fly with the Tanda mobile app. Within the app you can edit the following shift information: Date Times Location and team Add or remove a shift detail All changes will published, and a notification will be sent to staff so they’re aware of any changes to their roster. Improved Time and Attendance with the new Time Clock To make tracking time and attendance easier and more precise we’ve update the Time Clock. The new and improved Time Clock features a bunch of improvements: A new redesign Clock breaks with break buttons Portrait & Landscape Orientation Smart shift status Facial detection Easier device reporting The new Time Clock will be released on the 29th of January, 2019. Checkout our help article for more detail on this Time Clock update. Break Editor in My Tanda When employees clock multiple breaks you can specify which of those breaks were paid and unpaid. Custom Events and Blackout periods You can now add custom events to your schedule to help cater for demand and communicate blackout periods to your staff. Events can be flagged as a ‘blackout’ to discourage staff from applying for time-off on that day. Gain actionable insights Have you ever found it difficult to gain honest, actionable feedback from front-line staff? With Shift Feedback you can collect actionable insights from your staff to improve daily operations and employee engagement. Whats new in Tanda – November 2018
This month we’ve got some key updates to the Tanda App which make it easier for you to contact your staff quickly. Read on to find out what’s new in Tanda this month and a sneak peek at a few things coming soon. Easily get in touch with staff in the Tanda Mobile App Getting in touch with staff who are on the roster just got a whole lot easier. Simply tap on their shift on the work tab and from here you can call or SMS them directly. Save yourself time trying to look up their number in your phone, staff contact details from Tanda are now linked directly on their shifts. If you don’t already have the app you can download it by clicking on the links below. Simply log in with your normal Tanda details. Find shift replacements quickly by sending out available shifts to staff Sometimes an employee will call in sick, leaving you with the task of quickly finding an appropriate and available replacement. To make this much easier we’ve added shift replacements with manager initiation. If someone calls you to let you know they can’t come in, you can now tap on their shift in the roster and broadcast it out to available staff in seconds. Our mobile app shows managers available staff, costs, rostered hours, and roster validations so you can make snappy decisions. If you don’t already have the app you can download it by clicking on the links below. Simply log in with your normal Tanda details. Roster staff correctly for their preferred hours or contract hours To help you ensure you roster staff for their correct hours for the week we’ve now added an hours bar on staff view of your roster. This is based off off the preferred weekly hours field on employee profiles. You can use this field for contract hours or student visa hours. Once set, you will notice the bars change colour depending on how many hours staff are rostered out of their preferred. Orange = less than 75% of their preferred hours. Green = 75-100% of their preferred hours. Dark green = over their preferred hours View the preferred hours bars on roster staff view. Check upcoming shifts, apply for leave via the Tanda Workplace bot If you are using Workplace by facebook to communicate with the staff, you can now talk to the Tanda Bot. Employees can check their upcoming shifts, apply for time off and get notifications when time off gets approved by managers. Managers can also get notifications about new time off requests and approve them right from within their chat window.
